Donnington Park

Donnington Park is a key attraction in the East Midlands and is easily accessible from Nottingham. Located in Castle Donnington the famous race track holds several high profile events throughout the year including British Touring Cars and MotoGP.The most popular use of the track throughout the year is for track days and amateur/semi-professional racing series.

The track has has gone through a majour re-development in recent years. The track is owned by Tom Wheatcroft. Formally it was hoped that the lease of the track by Donnighton Ventures Leisure in 2008 would bring Formula One Racing back to the east midlands, but they fell short of meeting financial obligations and lost all hope of F1 racing when being declared bankrupt.

As well as holding several top motorsport events, in recent years the track has hosted popular rock music festival “Download”. If you are searching for a great day out then remember to visit the Donnington Race Museum, located by the ticket office next to the track the museam contains a great collection of racing cars and bikes from various generations.

Taxi prices to and from the track can vary throughout the year but would normally cost around £25-35 pounds from Nottingham centre.
